WHAT TO EXPECT
Prior to our session, we will have a discussion about the look, feel and style that you would like to achieve during your photo shoot. During an average photo shoot, we will spend an hour taking multiple photos to capture many priceless moments. We will do lots of different poses, backgrounds, and walk around our location to get new perspectives. It will be relaxed, fun and enjoyable for the whole family – so don’t be afraid to dance, skip, twirl and laugh! I like to capture the candid moments just as much as the smiling-at-the-camera moments. I’m happy to accommodate any fun posing ideas you have, or any props you’d like to incorporate.
The location of the shoot can add a lot of meaning and fun to your photos. The images will be focused on you, but a great background adds a ton of color, texture, lines and light. I enjoy taking advantage of the natural light and beautiful settings San Francisco has to offer, such as: The Palace of Fine Arts, Crissy Field, The Presidio, Golden Gate Park, Sutro Baths, etc. The time of day to shoot in nature is an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset, so we can get magical golden light. Clothing is a perfect opportunity to express your style and personality. There are no rules when it comes to what you wear, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable and pay attention to the colors that look best with your skin tone, hair, etc. For example, it is best to avoid bold patterns and stripes as they draw attention away from your face. For family photos or larger groups, it is best to wear complementing, not matching colors. Additional styling guidance and tips will be offered prior to your shoot if desired.
My number one focus is to make sure we are taking beautiful photos that capture the best shots. On average, a typical session runs just over one hour.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
During the session, I take on average 300-600 photographs. I sort though all photos and select the best of the best photos to edit. Several days after the shoot, I typically upload a few 'teasers' to my facebook page for you to view and share with friends and family. Approximately 2-3 weeks later, I will deliver fully edited high resolution digital files for your enjoyment.
